Apt Hero….

Adele Sweeps The Grammy’s. It Doesn’t Hurt That Adele Is An Apt Hero—Enormously Talented, Not Rail Thin, Recently Returned From Vocal-Cord Surgery, And Believably Moved When Collecting The Trophies She Must Have Known She Would Win. This Was The Best Thing About The Night: A Gifted Musician Getting Her Due, Even If Her Recordings Are Not Yet As Impressive As Her Instrument. She Knocked “Rolling In The Deep” Out Of The Park And Said “Snot” In Her Acceptance Speech. No Fire, No Meat Costume, No Ridiculous Choreography. Most Pop Stars Need Glitter And Rainbow Grenades. Adele Just Needs A Mic. She Can Connect To More People Just Sitting On A Stool And Singing… No Flashy Costumes And Dance Routines, Just Pure Talent. Love It.

There Is Hope For The Future.

Man Untd Vs Arsenal - Jan 22 2012

Both Teams Entered The Field With Their Heads Held High, Both Wanting To Kick The Others Ass And Make The Other Cry , The First Blow However Came From The Mighty Man United , The Ball Went In The Goal As Valencia By Giggs Was Sighted, The Game Continued With A Few Injuries Though, Phil Jones Injured On The Wing Had To Leave The Show & Rafael Had To Enter To Continue The Flow.

Arsenal Had A Talented Lad Alex Was His Name, 18 Was His Age But Superb Was His Game, He Silenced All Critics , The Only One Who Looked Like A Gun Assisted Rvp To Make It 1-1, The First Half Ended Both Teams Went For Rest First 45 Mins Were Good But The Next 45 Would Be The Best……!

Managers Finishing Their Team Talks Sending Their Boys Back To The Field It Was Tied Up So Now Both Had To Attack And Not Hold Up The Shield One Surprising Decision Made Its Way, Wenger Practically Handed United The Game People Say… Because He Took Off Arsenals Best Player For Someone Who Was More Known Little Did Arsene Know That Hew Was Cutting His Leg On His Own.

Arshavin Made The Mistake Which Let Our Main Man Valencia’s Show Cutting Through The Defenders Like Through Enemy’s Heart An Arrow He Passed It On To Another Legend In The Making From 10 Yards Away No Chances He Was Taking ,And 9 Mins From The Finish The Winning Goal He Scored ,London Had Lost And Manchester Had Won The Devil Crowd Roared…!

Thanks To A Week Full Of Celebrations, A Movie, Lunches & Dinners, Sightseeing & Treks, And A Getaway To Celebrate Some Really Exciting News. This Is Quickly Becoming One Of The Best Decembers I Can Remember. An Incredible End To A Seriously Incredible Year. Here’s To A Very Merry Christmas And A Happy Holiday Season!

Three Weeks Later

One Day You Feel Like You’ve Been Dropped Into A Neighborhood You Don’t Recognize. You Wonder If You’ll Ever Memorize The Street Names—If You’ll Ever Learn Where The Hills Rise, Where The Sidewalk Sticks Out Into The Street. You Wonder If You’ll Ever Get Used To The Trees.

And Then, Three Weeks Later, The Local Grocer Knows Your Name, The Barista Down The Street Knows Your Order, And You Can’t Remember How You Ever Lived Before Without All This.

Funny How Quickly A Place Can Feel Like Yours.

Life Is Painful And Messed Up. It Gets Complicated At The Worst Of Times, And Sometimes You Have No Idea Where To Go Or What To Do. Lots Of Times People Just Let Themselves Get Lost, Dropping Into A Wide Open, Huge Abyss. But That’s Why We Have To Keep Trying. We Have To Push Through All That Hurts Us, Work Past All Our Memories That Are Haunting Us. Sometimes The Things That Hurt Us Are The Things That Make Us Strongest. A Life Without Experience, In My Opinion, Is No Life At All. And That’s Why I Tell Everyone That, Even When It Hurts, Never Stop Yourself From Living.

The Heart Of The Season

When I Woke Up This Morning, Though, The Air Was Just A Little Bit Crisper, The Breeze Just A Little Bit Cooler—And Maybe It’s The Sudden Onset Of Holiday Music, But There’s Something About The Start Of November That Feels Like The Heart Of The Season.

It’s Such A Beautiful Season, One I Look Forward To Year After Year. But Lately I’ve Heard From So Many Friends That It’s A Tough Season, Too—That It Carries Promise But Also Expectations, And With Those Expectations, A Certain Amount Of Anxiety. I Have To Say That I Agree: Fall Is Fabulous, Yes, But It Also Has The Tendency To Overwhelm. To Pass So Quickly That You Struggle To Stay In Step. Summer Ends, The Calendar Fills Up, And Just As Soon As You’ve Lost Your Tan, Sleigh Bells Are Ringing On The Radio And Target Is Selling Christmas Trees. Yes. Overwhelming.

Let’s Face It: It Can Be Hard To Keep Up With Everything This Time Of Year. Personally, I Get Through It By Listing (And Listing And Listing) All The Things That Need To Get Done And—This Is The Key!—How And When I’ll Do Them. (I Also Color Code Said Lists, But That’s Another Story.) Another Stay-Sane Trick? I High-Five Myself For Virtually Every Single Thing I Do—As If I Deserve A Gold Star For Sending A “Thank You” Card Or Vacuuming Daily. Hey, Whatever Works, Right?
